Houston Grand Opera - HGOco Audition (January 2017)

Houston Grand Opera’s HGOco announces auditions for all voice types for future projects, including Song of Houston projects such as Glory Denied (slated for November 2017). Auditions will be held on January 21 between 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Wortham Theater Center, 510 Preston St. Houston, TX 77002. Please prepare two contrasting arias (one from the contemporary American repertoire), sung from memory. An accompanist will be provided, but singers are required to bring their own music. Submitted applications will be screened and applicants will be notified if they are granted an audition.

HGOco is Houston Grand Opera’s initiative that connects our company with the community through collaboration. HGOco has a new Director, Programs Manager, and Education Manager, so we are eager to hear singers in the region for our many initiatives.

There will be separate auditions in May 2017 for Opera to Go!, the educational touring ensemble.
