Houston Grand Opera (HGOco) Opera to Go! Auditions (2016-2017 Season)

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Houston Grand Opera's Opera to Go! Our season runs from August 29, 2016 to May 19, 2017.

We present high-energy operas at schools, libraries and community centers in fully-staged, 45-minute performances. The Fall semester tour of The Princess and the Pea (English) will feature one singer of each voice type (Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, Baritone, and Bass) and the Spring semester tour of The Barber of Seville (English/Spanish) will feature 4 singers (Soprano or Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, Baritone, and Bass). Performances are sung in English or English/Spanish and are designed especially for today's audiences throughout the Houston area, including some overnight touring to surrounding areas in Texas.

We will also be listening for singers for potential participants in our Song of Houston programing.
