Florentine Opera Company

Donald and Donna Baumgartner Studio Artist Pianist (2023-24)

This application closed on Sunday October 16, 2022.

The Florentine Opera Company is driven to produce the full range of operatic works reflecting the highest musical and theatrical standards, and to support community and education programs that foster the current and next generation of opera audiences and practitioners.

The Florentine seeks to provide the best possible opera experience to our patrons, staff, and performers. It is imperative to create a work environment that fosters the recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of diverse talent, both administratively and artistically. Breadth of perspective and participation helps our opera thrive.

Now in its 15th season, the Baumgartner Studio Artist program bridges the gap for artists between academia and professional careers. The program is a stepping stone for singers and pianists before working with major opera houses.

The nine-month residency consists of a soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone/bass, and pianist. Artists typically have completed their graduate studies, and are looking to expand their artistry and repertoire.

Please note: this application is for PIANISTS ONLY. You can find the application for singers here.
