The Bremen Town Musicians (June 2026 - May 2027)

Eddie Pensier | A singing rooster with artistic aspirations | tenor

General Boom | A retired Army donkey and percussionist | bass or baritone

Barcarolle | An old dog and best friend of Dorabella | mezzo-soprano or soprano

Dorabella | An old cat and best friend of Barcarolle | soprano or mezzo-soprano

The Little Prince (August 2026 - May 2027)

An operatic version of the well-known fairy tale, sung in English. Approximately 55 minutes. Two casts of five singers:

The Little Prince | soprano or mezzo-soprano

The Fox/Rose/Water | soprano

The Vain Man/Drunkard/Lamplighter/Snake | tenor

The Pilot | baritone

The King/Businessman | bass or bass-baritone

PLEASE NOTE:

Artists who wish to be considered for a role must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Resident with a valid Green Card, or must have a Work or Student Visa valid through the program’s duration (June 2026-May 2027 or August 2026-May 2027).
*International Student Artists*: Curricular Practical Training Application Forms must be submitted via email to the Director of Education for completion no later than two weeks prior to the start of employment.
Artists are expected to have reliable transportation to and from the Winspear Opera House and other venues at which The Dallas Opera performs.
Artists are expected to adhere to all safety protocol.
Artists must submit information for and pass background checks as required by local school districts.
Artists are expected to attend a mandatory virtual all-hands orientation meeting on March 23, 2026, 6:30pm central time.
Artists are expected to unload, assemble, strike and load the set at rehearsals and outbound performances as directed by the Dallas Opera Production Staff.
