2 operatic arias:

One aria must be in Italian.
One aria must be accompanied by a recitative, or a seperate recitative may be added.
An art song may be substituted for an aria.

Singers for the Opera Creation Lab

2 selections, in any language:
•One opera aria (composed after 1970, or earlier if with permission).
•One art song or aria (composed after 1970, or earlier if with permission).

Opera Chorus Program Applicants

2 selections, one of which must be in Italian:
•One art song, and one contrasting aria, OR

In receiving your application for the program, we will then contact you to submit two examples of your compositions. Vocal and/or instrumental pieces are welcome though examples of previous operatic writing are encouraged. Below, please let us know any further information that would be helpful to us in processing your application.

University course credits are available to COSI 2018 participants. You are welcome to inquire about the couse offerings in Italian and in music that are available directly through universities, or through transfer credit by permission of the participant's university.
