The CMI Ascend Collegiate Voice Program is an intensive two-week program running from June 11-25 focusing on solo and chamber vocal music. Participants will take part in individual coaching, solo and ensemble performances, masterclasses, diction instruction, and career skills classes with the CMI Ascend artist-faculty, which consists of international performing artists and teachers from all over the Americas. Tuition is $300 for two weeks and competitive scholarships are available. Application review begins on March 11 and applications received after this date will be accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants will be notified of their status by March 28, 2022.

*Ideal candidates are doctoral students or experienced early-career teachers with a strong interest in vocal pedagogy

The CMI Ascend Teaching-Artist Fellowship Voice Program is a rigorous pedagogy and performance training program with the aim of bridging the gap between a teaching-artist’s education and professional performance & pedagogy career. Ideal candidates are post-graduate, doctoral, or experienced early professional-level vocalists who have a strong interest in vocal pedagogy. The inaugural Summer 2022 Fellowship Program takes place June 11 – 25 in San Antonio, Texas. Competitive fellowships are awarded to musicians who will receive chamber music coaching, lessons, supervised teaching, and perform alongside CMI Artist-Faculty in both solo and chamber music settings. Each participant attends on an award valued at $2,500 covering the costs of tuition, lodging, and a small per diem. Application review begins on March 11 and applications received after this date will be accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants will be notified of their status by March 28, 2022. A non-refundable fee of $300 must be paid to reserve space upon acceptance. (When attending, this fee is returned to the student in a larger amount in the form of a daily per diem.)
