Tuition free Resident Artist Fellowship program Opera on the Bluff: 1 week left to apply!

1 week left to apply!! Deadline extended to January 20!

Tuition free Resident Artist Fellowship program with Opera on the Bluff in Portland, Oregon.  Room and 1 meal per day are provided. Eleven fully staged performances of HMS Pinafore with professional orchestra. Leads are double cast.  All will sing chorus when not in lead roles.  We aim to produce Light Opera that looks like all of us!

Opera on the Bluff is a new mainstage opportunity for resident artists refashioned from Mock's Crest Opera, a company founded 27 years ago with a devoted audience who is passionate about operetta, particularly Gilbert and Sullivan. The company behaves like a professional company with 2 weeks for staging rehearsal, 1 week for tech rehearsal and 11 fully staged and costumed performances with professional orchestra over 3 weekends.  Accomodation is provided in apartment-style dormitories on the University of Portland campus in North Portland, which sits on a bluff over looking downtown with easy access to Portland's ecclectic neighborhoods and hiking in Forest Park.

Auditions will be held live in Portland in February 2020 or submissions are also accepted by recording. Don't delay - apply now!
