Opera Chatter: Jennifer Rivera

It's always great to see members of our field break out in new ways and find their voice, onstage or off. Jennifer Rivera, frequent panelist on the terrific OperaNow! podcast, participant in the recent hilarious Sh*t Opera Singers Say meme, award-winning blogger and of course, acclaimed mezzo-soprano is now a contributor to the Huffington Post culture section, and her unique voice is certainly a welcome addition. 

Her recent piece, Shouldn't You Be Fatter? (And Other Opera Singer Myths) is a must read.  I wish a consolidated version cut be put on a business card to hand out when asked this inane question (or whether all opera singers love Katherine Jenkins and Phantom of the Opera). Keep up the great work, Jennifer!
