The International Opera Academy (IOA) offers an affordable 2 year postgraduate programme to help prepare young singers and accompanist repetiteurs for the complex job awaiting them in the opera world. Students are intensively prepared for professional practice and auditions through targeted courses with performing artists, and they benefit from the IOA's affiliation with several major European houses. Audition dates and deadlines are approaching: appointments are still available in Vienna, Barcelona, Berlin, Manchester, Essen, London, Lisbon, Helsinki and Ghent. Preliminary selections begin in December; the best participants will go through to a final round to work with our teachers (April 20-24, 2015).
OCAVA-in-Rome Summer Program June 14 to July 5, 2015. Following the great success from the previous years, OCAVA announces the OCAVA-in-Rome 2015 Summer Program for singers in Rome, Italy. The carefully chosen young vocal artists from the United States and abroad will come to Rome to work closely with an internationally renowned faculty on this intensive three-week program that combines daily voice lessons, master classes, lectures/workshops, group discussions, public concerts, and Italian language study. Perform Don Giovanni in Prague this summer, while working with Sherrill Milnes! Join the “Prague Summer Nights Young Artists Music Festival” this summer in the beautiful and historic city of Prague for concerts and opera performances, including fully staged performances of Mozart’s Don Giovanni under the stage direction of opera legend Sherrill Milnes. These performances, using the famous 1991 production, sets and costumes of the Czech National Theatre, will be given in the Estates Theatre in Prague, where Don Giovanni was premiered under Mozart’s baton in 1787. Participants in the program will live in the heart of historic Prague, and rehearse daily at the Czech National Theatre and the Estates Theatre.

The Dallas Opera Guild prepares for the most exciting vocal competition in its history! Besides significant cash prizes and the extraordinary opportunity to perform before an influential world-class panel of judges, chaired by Dr. Brian Zeger, a major innovation this year is the introduction of an orchestral accompaniment for the Finals Round. Competing artists will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the Dallas Opera Orchestra led by internationally renowned Music Director Emmanuel Villaume, recently praised by The New York Times for his conducting of the prestigious 2014 Richard Tucker Music Foundation Gala. Judges are just announced.
Experience conservatory-style living in an intimate, challenging, and supportive learning environment. Participants in this two-week intensive course receive personalized attention from faculty of the vocal studies department at the Curtis Institute of Music, including a unique opportunity to spend time with faculty during meals and unscheduled portions of the day. Participants rehearse and perform alongside their musical peers in opera scenes, opera workshop and production, interactive classes daily master classes, collaboration through opera and lieder and private lessons. Participants live, share meals, and practice in Curtis’s historic main building and the beautiful new Lenfest Hall.
After it's incredibly successful Summer program in Sicily this year, Mediterranean Opera Studio is proud to bring back Salvatore Fisichella and Nelly Miricioiu, two of the greatest belcantisti of our time, to join Jack LiVigni in NYC for the MOS Winter intensive. January 12-24. These exceptional teachers, together with MOS director Jack Li Vigni, will help participants advance in their technical abilities and put them much closer to their artistic goals as operatic performers.
