Audition Selections

Audition Selections (required for singers)*

Singers, please list your five arias for the live audition. At least one aria must be from an American opera.

NOTE: Pianists will be required to offer Composer’s Aria (Ariadne auf Naxos, R. Strauss) and No Word from Tom (The Rake’s Progress, Stravinsky) at the live audition. Pianists should list a piano solo, the two required arias, and two additional arias played and sung, including one in Italian or French and one from an American opera. Number of selections required: 5.

Audition Location

Applicants will be pre-screened and will be notified of their status by October 27 (but usually earlier). Applicants who are granted live auditions will be given a link to sign up for a specific audition time on November 13 or 14 in New York City, or November 20, 27, or December 4 in Tulsa. There is no additional fee for applicants granted live auditions.
