SongFest 2011 Application Form

This application closed on Monday March 7, 2011.

Live Auditions:

-$50 application fee (credit card, check, or money order made payable to SongFest)
-Names and contact information of 2 musical references (no letters needed)
-Scholarship Application (optional-received by March 7, 2011 to be considered)

Application deadlines are one week before the requested audition date. To be considered for a Stern Fellowship, you MUST have a live audition. Acceptance notification will be via email by March 15, 2011. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable $500 tuition deposit is due by March 28, 2011 (received).

Audition Requirements/Selections

Audition Selections*

Professional and Young Artist Singers:
Please prepare at least 4 contrasting selections of your own choice. One must be an art song, the others: aria, oratorio, musical theatre, or additional art songs. One piece in English is required. If you wish to be considered for "The American SongBook Concert" with John Musto, a musical theatre selection is required.

Intern Singers:
Please prepare 3 contrasting selections of musical style and language of your choice. One must be in a foreign language. One musical theatre selection is acceptable. Please type "N/A" for the final field.

Pianists:
Please prepare 4 contrasting selections of your choice showing your strengths and versatility. You may choose art songs, arias, or oratorio.

Housing

Please not that an $18 per day facility fee will be charged to all participants not using Pepperdine housing.

I will need reserved Pepperdine housing. (includes 3 meals)
