Garsington Opera is auditioning for the 2019 Alvarez Young Artist Programme. As well as singing in the chorus, successful applicants will be considered for covers and small roles. Covers will also perform a full main stage performance of Fantasio for a schools audience and a small-scale version of Don Giovanni for donors. There is also the opportunity to take part in masterclasses, recitals and other enrichment activities.

Offenbach Fantasio in English - in a new translation by Jeremy Sams (Conductor: Justin Doyle, Director: Martin Duncan)
Britten The Turn of the Screw in English (Conductor: Richard Farnes, Director: Louisa Muller)

Contracts will run from roughly 16 April - 25 July 2019; all applicants must be available to work full-time during this period, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Please note we can only accept applications from UK/EU passport holders or those with a full UK working visa (NOT a student visa).
Auditions will be held in September and October 2018 until all chorus slots are filled. Auditions will be held at Rudolf Steiner House (35 Park Rd, London NW1 6XT) and at the Neville Marriner Room (St Martin in the Fields, Trafalgar Square, London, WC2N 4JJ). Please apply early - we will not wait till the application deadline to start allocating auditions, so the earlier you apply the more likely you are to get a chance to sing to us!
