Opera Ensemble applicants

3 operatic arias:

One aria must be by Mozart or his contemporaries
One aria must be with recitative
One Italian art song may be substituted for an aria.
Two of the three selections must be in Italian

Opera Studio applicants

2 operatic arias:

One aria must be in Italian
One art song may be substituted for an aria.

Singers are required to provide their own accompanist.

Collaborative Piano and Continuo:

One movement of a piano sonata by Beethoven, Haydn, or Mozart, or a solo work which is representative of middle- or late- Romantic style, and two opera arias, in a collaborative performance with a singer provided by you. Maximum number of selections permitted: 3

Audio Selections

Singers are strongly encouraged to do a live audition. You may submit a video (DVD) recording if you live more than 450 km (250 miles) from the audition site and are not performing a live audition. Maximum number of selections permitted: 3

* Though Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply prior to November 29th, auditions in Toronto, recorded submissions, as well as Stage Management, Stage Directing, and Conducting Internship applications will be considered on a case by case basis November 29th forward.
